A full or partial rewire, done cleanly and certified.
If your wiring is decades old, tripping repeatedly or flagged on an EICR, a rewire brings the whole installation up to the current 18th-Edition standard. We plan the work around your household, protect your finishes, and hand over a full Electrical Installation Certificate on completion.
Signs your property needs rewiring.
Rewires are usually driven by age, safety codes or a renovation. We survey first and tell you honestly whether a full rewire, a partial rewire or targeted remedials is the right call — never more work than the installation needs.
- Rubber, lead or fabric-insulated cabling. Pre-1970s wiring degrades and is a common source of C1 and C2 observations on an EICR.
- An old fuse box with rewireable fuses. No RCD protection means a consumer unit upgrade at minimum, often alongside a rewire.
- Frequent tripping, scorching or a burning smell. Overloaded or deteriorating circuits that repairs no longer resolve.
- A renovation, extension or change of use. The ideal moment to rewire before plastering, flooring and decoration go back.
From survey to signed certificate.
Survey
We assess the existing installation, agree the scope and give a fixed, itemised quote — full or partial.
First fix
New cabling, back boxes and a consumer unit are installed while walls and floors are accessible.
Second fix
Sockets, switches, lights and the board are fitted, connected and fully tested.
Certify
You receive an Electrical Installation Certificate and we notify building control under Part P.

Ask a questionHow long does a full rewire take?
A typical three-bedroom house takes five to ten working days depending on access and whether it is occupied. We agree a schedule up front and stick to it.
Do I need to move out?
Not usually. We work room by room and keep essential power and lighting on wherever possible, restoring services each evening.
Will you make good the plaster?
We chase in cables neatly and can arrange plastering make-good. Final decoration is normally handled by your decorator, and we advise on the order of works.
Is a rewire notifiable?
Yes. A rewire is notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations. As a registered contractor we self-certify and notify building control on your behalf.
