Terms & Conditions
The terms on which you may use this website and the basis on which we provide quotations and electrical services.
Last updated: 29 July 2026
1. About these terms
This website is operated by Polarity Compliance. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Using this website
We provide this website free of charge for general information about our services. We may update, suspend or withdraw all or part of it at any time without notice. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it in any way that is unlawful or could damage it or interrupt its availability.
3. Information on the site
The content of this website is for general information only and does not constitute technical, legal or professional advice on which you should rely. Pricing, availability and timescales shown are indicative; a binding quotation is provided only after we have assessed your specific requirements. Compliance references (such as BS 7671:2018+A2:2022+A3:2024, the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private and Social Rented Sectors (England) Regulations 2020 and Part P of the Building Regulations) are summarised for convenience and are not a substitute for the current published standards and legislation.
4. Quotations and enquiries
Submitting the booking form or contacting us does not create a contract. It is a request for us to prepare a quotation. A contract is formed only when we confirm a booking and agree a scope and price with you. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and assume reasonable access to the property.
5. Our services
Where you engage us, we will carry out inspection, testing, certification and installation work with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with BS 7671 and the requirements of our accreditation bodies. Any specific terms of service — including scope, remedial recommendations, payment terms and guarantees — will be set out in the quotation, order confirmation or service agreement for that work, which take precedence over this website where they differ.
6. Accreditations
Polarity is NICEIC approved (enrolment 402816) and works to Part P of the Building Regulations. Accreditation details shown on the site are correct to the best of our knowledge; you may verify our current registration directly with the relevant scheme.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, the Polarity name and logo, and the underlying code — is owned by or licensed to Polarity Compliance and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view and print pages for your own personal or internal business use. You must not copy, republish, distribute or exploit any part of the site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
8. Links to other sites
Where we link to third-party websites, we do so for information only. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the information on this website. Our liability for the services we carry out is governed by the terms of the relevant service agreement and by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where applicable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
